This course constitutes a biblical, theological, and practical reflection on the church’s role and task in impacting and transforming society. In considering the church’s calling to be salt, light, and leaven in the world, both the witness of scripture, theological reflection, the example of the church in history, and contemporary societal challenges will be considered. Practical ministries for societal transformation will also be explored.
